About The Event

This Autism Acceptance Month, join BAC SLP Megan Romanczyk in learning about how to create a neurodiversity affirming classroom! This talk will explore the neurodiversity paradigm and practical strategies to support learning and development of positive self-image for autistic students. Participants will learn about neurodiversity affirming IEP goals, accommodations and modifications to support gestalt language and cognitive processors, and incorporation of inclusive education materials to promote peer acceptance and inclusion.
