Wondering if your child needs physical therapy?
Physical therapists at The Boston Ability Center have experience treating kids with orthopedic, developmental and neurological diagnoses. Physical therapists evaluate a child’s strength, range of motion, gross motor skills (such as rolling, walking, running and throwing), muscle tone, balance, reflexes, and motor planning and develop a plan to help your child move safely and independently.
The Boston Ability Center is home to the only private practice pediatric Lite Gait gait training system that allows for supported partial weight bearing gait training. This is an amazing tool that allows therapists to help their patients with crawling, standing, stepping, cardiovascular endurance, posture, as well as quality and speed of gait. In addition to the Lite Gait, our PTs use our 2,000 square foot “Big Gym” where the zip line, balance beam, treadmills, ball pit, and swings make building strength and skills fun. Our PTs have a combined 30 years of treating kids. We work closely with pediatricians, orthopedists, neurologists and physiatrists to ensure your child is getting the kind of wrap around care that allows him to reach his goals as quickly as possible.
