If you anticipate that upcoming holiday festivities will be overwhelming for you and your family, remember to "fill your bucket" (before, after, and during the events!) with favorite, familiar things. Enjoy a beloved book or movie, spend time journaling, coloring, or doing a puzzle, snuggle up with a blanket and a snack and listen to music. There will be plenty of new sights, sounds, and situations - so take care of yourself by leaning into routine, predictability, and comfort as much as possible.
