The Boston Ability Center is hosting our 2nd Annual Walk for Waypoint Adventure Challenge from Monday, February 16th to Sunday, March 1st. Please consider joining BAC staff to walk for a good cause, or support your staff via donations to Waypoint Adventure.
Who is Waypoint Adventure?
Where “I can’t” becomes “Yes, I can,” Waypoint Adventure is a local non-profit educational organization that awakens youth and adults with disabilities to their willful spirit through the power of adventure programming, including hiking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, rock climbing, and more! With guided, experiential programs tailored to meet people right where they’re at, Waypoint Adventure provides personal growth and team triumph – as participants discover their purpose, value, strengths, and abilities. Waypoint Adventure is here to help free what’s possible.
What is the Walk for Waypoint Adventure Challenge?
The goal of our Walk for Waypoint Adventure Challenge is to raise funds and awareness for an amazing organization we're proud to partner with - Waypoint Adventure.
BAC staff and participants commit to walking a mile a day outside for 14 days from Monday, February 16th - Sunday, March 1st.
You can walk your mile any time, any place, in a group, by yourself, or even broken into sections throughout the day! The goal is to support Waypoint Adventure, get outside in the winter, and have fun as we push through the final weeks of February! At the end of the challenge, participants will receive a special BAC / Waypoint apparel gift as a thank you for participating!
How Do I Register?
We ask that each participant make a donation of 14 dollars to register (essentially contributing $1/day of the challenge). Additional contributions are also welcome to support Waypoint beyond the registration fee. The Boston Ability Center has agreed to match donation contributions made in support of Waypoint at the end of the challenge!
