Next Saturday, the BAC is hosting a completely FREE open gym event in combination with our Fall Activities Fair! Read below to learn more about this free event and the many groups offered by the BAC that will be showcased during the fun!


Who: EVERYONE. Seriously. You don’t need to be a current patient to join in the fun! All ages, all abilities are welcome. ⁣


What: Explore our equipment, connect with our clinicians (OTs, PTs, & SLPs), learn about our groups & events ⁣


When: Saturday, September 7th, 2-4pm⁣


Where: 10 Tech Circle in Natick, MA ⁣

🥬🍇 FEEDING GROUPS 🍒🍊⁣

😋 Designed for children aged 3-5 (Little Food Explorers) and 6-10 (Food Explorers) who are picky eaters, problem feeders, or somewhere in between ⁣

😋 An OT and an SLP who are both trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (S.O.S.) Approach to Feeding will help your child develop success with feeding through food exploration in a fun, supportive environment ⁣

🌟 ONE NIGHT OUT 🌟

💃🏻🕺🏻⁣Parents, you work hard all week. By Saturday, you definitely deserve a night out!

💃🏻🕺🏻One Night Out monthly events provide childcare in a safe, supportive environment. Drop off your child with special needs and his/her sibling to explore the BAC gyms, play games, read books, and do crafts/cooking projects. Dinner & snacks are provided!⁣

💃🏻🕺🏻One Night Out is held on the first Saturday night of each month from 6-9pm in our Natick location. This program is completely FREE! (Families are invited to make a donation) ⁣

👭♥️ SIBSHOPS 👭♥

👭♥️Sibshops provide siblings of children with special needs with peer support and information in a lively, recreational setting⁣

👫♥️In each Sibshop session, children will meet other sibs, play games, talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sib with special needs, learn something about the services their brothers and sisters receive, and have fun! ⁣

👬♥️The BAC offers two Sibshop sessions. Session 1 is for sibs ages 7+ from September 14th - October 19th, 2019 at our Natick location. Session 2 is for sibs aged 3-6 from October 26th - November 16th at our Wellesley location. ⁣New sessions for each age group will be offered again in the spring!

💪🏼 FITNESS GROUPS 💪🏼

💪🏼 Our physical therapy department is committed to helping all children develop healthy habits! ⁣

💪🏽In BAC Fit Kids, children aged 9-16 of all abilities will improve strength, endurance, and flexibility⁣

💪🏾BAC Bootcamp takes fitness to the next level🔺Children aged 8+ will participate in weight training, cardio exercises, bodyweight strengthening, and interval training to target individual fitness goals alongside their peers⁣

🥳 BIRTHDAY PARTIES 🎉

🥳⁣ Did you know that the Boston Ability Center hosts birthday parties?

🎉You’ll get full access to our state-of-the-art therapy gyms (featuring a zipline, ball pit, rock wall, swings, and more) PLUS special space for cake🎂and presents🎁⁣

🎉Parties are staffed by BAC clinicians who feel comfortable working with children of all ages & all abilities ⁣

🎉We’re happy to help with set-up, clean-up, and everything in between ⁣

👥💭⁣ SOCIAL MOTOR GROUPS 👥💭⁣

👥Designed for 3.5-5 year olds (Move to Talk) and 5.5-8 year olds (Team Time) who are hoping to grow in communication, perspective taking, problem solving, and self-regulation skills⁣

👥Children will learn Social Thinking® concepts in order to understand the "why" behind appropriate social behaviors, as well as Zones of Regulation® strategies to better manage their bodies and emotions. Targeted concepts include: whole body listening, size of the problem, flexible/stuck thinking, and more! ⁣

🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏾‍♂️ KIDS YOGA GROUP 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏾‍♂️

🌟Designed for 5-8 years olds who are hoping to grow in strength, flexibility, coordination, body awareness, and social-emotional skills ⁣

🌟Children will move and breathe through yoga poses (including individual, partner, and group poses), mindfulness activities, music, and stories @ The Boston Ability Center
